There is something that came up in class that I would like to share with you. I was half-way through my time to teach (two days down and two to go) and still had so much on my heart to share with the students. I asked the Lord, "What do you want me to tell them, Lord?" My question was more along the lines of lifting up my notes to Him and saying, "What of this do I focus on and what do I leave off?" What I wasn't expecting was for the Lord to give me a Word for the class...one that I believe is for more than just then. He also brought me back to some insights about the the book of Ezra that He had shown me just before I left for Hong Kong...insights that were for me at that time, but that He was also leading me to share with the students. This is what the Lord gave me in answer to my question of, "What do you want me to tell them, Lord?"...
“Tell them that I love them. That in that love and because of that love I am committed to them in the process of their restoration. Not just a restoration FROM the things which have been, but a restoration TO who they are destined to be...Reflections of Me.”
He went on to say, “Yield to the workings that I shall do. Yield to the workings on the inside of you. As you do, every day, as you trust in Me, my glory shall be seen in 2015. How shall it come? In the earth? In the sky? In your services many where to Me you draw nigh? No...the glory is in you--through you it shall be seen, but only as you yield, and then shall you glean...taking first up the remnants scattered on the field. It seems small at first, but will come to great yield. Yes, the increase in you leads to increase in Me...an increase of my Body in 2015. It’s the harvest I call for, so the harvest demand. It’s only as you do that I can do my plan. Together we shall labor so the harvest comes in, so let me first start with you...let me show you your sins. They’re forgiven already--so to look there’s no fear. Though some grief there may be and perhaps, yes, some tears. But sowing in tears leads to harvesting with joy! As you bring in my sheaves it shall not be a toil. For my yoke it is easy, my burden is light. And I’ll remove any hindrance you face in the night. For though darkness may come and will be seen in the land, as you stay close to me, sitting at the right hand, far above all the plans of the enemy you’ll be. Your strength and protection are found there in me. So rejoice and be glad for the battle’s been won, and through you, through abiding, so the world sees the Son.”
As I prepare to return to the States, part of walking these things out in my own life is to yield to the Lord's promptings to take a season of sabbatical. I will continue to be helping the Crowls from the States with things relating to their work in Asia, but I will be taking a break from any traveling or active ministry both in the States and overseas. God is at work, and I choose to let Him! I am excited to walk out this season that is just as purposeful as any other in His plans. The sabbatical begins as I return from the States and attend Winter Bible Seminar in Oklahoma. God's timing is perfect.
That said, my postings here may be slim this year, but it is for good reason, and God-purpose! I appreciate your prayers during this season, too!
