The couple I work
 with in Hong Kong
 were in town to do
 work on a video
 project relating to
what they are doing overseas. After a crash-
course in white
balancing, green screens and video techniques, I became the one behind the camera for the recording of five full courses done over five FULL days! As I return to Hong Kong in November, it will be to work on phase two of this project with editing and voice- over work as our next tasks to tackle.

As I will be gone for 9-weeks total (between a visit to Colorado to help Tom and Kristy Harrington as they prepare to launch a church there this spring, a trip north to celebrate my Aunt's 70th birthday, my trips overseas, and time with family for Christmas), these past three weeks have been full ones in Tulsa as I make preparations to be gone for that long and to so many different places. Everything is coming together, though, and Monday I head out! Thank you for your prayers.

Unwrapping His Gifts

The first day of October dawned in Grand Rapids, MI where I had been visiting for my Uncle's 70th birthday, but by the end of that day, my 13-year old niece and I had arrived in Kentucky on our way to North Carolina for a Women's Conference I was a part of there. I was able to spend that whole week with my niece and it was a very special time. As she is an avid horse- and outdoors-lover, we went to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington as well as waterfall-hunting in North Carolina. It was also a special gift to have her with me during the Women's Conference at Spoken Word Church in Brevard.

The Women's Conference was such a demonstration of the Body of Christ coming together and working together in unity and common purpose. Each message and ministry time fit together like a puzzle, and every person present had a part to play as we worshiped, encouraged one another, discovered more about our God-designed piece and place, and were challenged to make fresh commitments to offer our lives to Him. He did a work in each person present, and restoration was a common theme in so many lives and in so many ways. As He did His work in each person, it was with a fresh desire imparted to go out and touch the lives of others as well. New doors are open!

I was especially humbled--and overjoyed--that some people had traveled 45 min from a neighboring city because they had heard that I was coming to share and that I had overcome self-injury. I was told the middle school in their town has had a self-injury- epidemic going on. Although my message didn't involve my story this time, God was still able to provide an opportunity for me to talk with them personally, and He was so good to meet and minister to them through me and others that day. While God did so much more, that in itself would have made the trip there worth-while.

I also made some unexpected connections relating to Day of Beauty while I was there as time allowed me to speak with the campus counselor as well as meet with the campus chaplain at a local college there. I was able to do some prayer walking on the campus with a friend of mine too. God is stirring on college campuses all over the country and around the world, and I want in on it!

You all are a gift to me, as well, as I travel from place to place on the varied assignments the Lord gives. Knowing that there are those who believe in and support the unique plans and purposes that God has called me to means so much. I look forward to updating you again soon. In the meantime, thank you so much for your love, prayers and support.

A Catch up Post

I'm catching my breath, in many ways, as I travel from one place to another these days, but His faithfulness truly takes my breath away in a good way. God is so good and not only directs each and every one of my steps, but strengthens me to make each one as well. Now that I am back from overseas, here is a quick update...even as I'm preparing to return again...

In the beginning of September, I was able to be part of yet another graduation of students from a RHEMA Bible Training College in a country very close to my heart. It's hard to believe that I've been helping the couple working in that part of the world for over seven years now. It has been a true honor. I will be working more with them overseas than Stateside over these next 12 months, too. I'll be sharing more information about that soon.

After graduation, we returned to Hong Kong where we had another gathering of leaders from seven different provinces for some classes that we are video taping for a future project. I was able to help with the sound and recording. In addition, I was also able to start the very first stages of work with an individual to begin doing Mandarin voice-overs on some of Kenneth E. Hagin's teachings on Prayer and the Believer's Authority. It's an honor to be part of this project, and in November and December I will be returning to Hong Kong to continue working on voice over work with this person.

I was not only able to help the couple I work with regarding the Bible school when I was on this most recent trip, but I was also able to make a connection with someone recommended to me by a contact I had made in Arkansas about Day of Beauty. The Dutton's are living in Hong Kong and preparing to pioneer a church there that is officially launching this month called Canvas Church. Carol is also planning to start a Joshua Center, a Christian-centered counseling center similar to the one in Fayetteville I've been communicating with. The Duttons are a wonderful couple, and I look forward to fellowshipping with them again in the future.

Now that I'm back in the
States, I'm preparing to
share at a Women's
 Conference this weekend
in Brevard, North
 Carolina. Spoken Word
 Church is hosting the
event called "Christmas
in October: Unwrapping
the Gift Within". A team
of us from Tulsa have
come to share, and we
 are anticipating very
special services in His presence and believing that God will minister His love and reveal more of His unique purpose and plans to each one attending. We would appreciate your prayers. I will be sharing Saturday afternoon. My niece is here with me this week too, and it's been a joy to spend some special time with her.
