Christmas Eve candlelight service always means we end with the lights off, candles lit, and singing Silent Night. Now, whenever I hear that song, it makes me think of being in Mainland with my friend Ginny and singing carols with the kids there while I played the guitar. Here is a sampling of their singing Silent Night in English and Mandarin. There are no images from that day on the video, just the music, but I hope it brings you some moments of peace and joy as you listen...and as I reminisce! God gave Jesus as a gift of love to every nation, tribe and tongue...Truly, He brought joy to the world. Merry Christmas with love from me...and most of all from Him.

I will advise you and watch over you.”
As many of you know, 2015 has been what I have come to call a sabbatical year for me. Although I did fulfill a commitment to go to Hong Kong in January and February to teach and administrate things at the school there while the Crowls were itinerating in the States, at the direction of the Lord I took some major steps back from ministerial commitments this year both at my local church and overseas. Honestly, in so many ways it was a crucifixion of my flesh! I had been going rather hard and fast these past few years, but the Lord in His wisdom knew that it was time for me to stop and rest. Recently, the Lord gave me three words to describe what He has been working into me through these last months: Obedience...Trust...and Surrender. I am so grateful that I chose to yield to His instructions. It was necessary for so many reasons and in so many ways. I am stronger than I have ever been and ready to move forward into some things that He has been revealing to me and stirring in me afresh and anew. I am excited to keep in touch with you about what’s ahead in the months to come! |
