![]() I'm writing yet another update while in the midst of travels and I'm on the final leg of my latest adventures. By the time I get home, I will have flown 19,225 miles in 25 days! The journey has been a blessing, but now I'm on my way back to North Carolina just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving—and there is much to be thankful for! For one, opportunities to connect with various people throughout these last few weeks has been a huge blessing. One example is that my friend Kristine from Switzerland was visiting Hong Kong for a short-term missions trip with a team from her church. We were able to reconnect after not having seeing each other face-to-face since she was at RBTC USA. ![]() Not only that, but while being able to see RBTC Thailand for the first time was a joy, the greater purpose for my trip to Bangkok was to be a blessing and encouragement to my friends who are serving the ministry there. David and Stacey Sherril were so kind to open their home for me to stay with them. I knew Stacey from when we were in classes together at Southwestern Christian University, but what a joy to get to know her and David's heart for Thailand. ![]() Reconnecting with my dear friend Cindy was a key reason for my trip, though, and a special gift as well. She and John transitioned to Thailand last December, and while we purpose to have regular Skype visits, face-to-face is so much better! I enjoyed experiencing part of their weekly routine, helping decorate for Christmas, hearing John teach, laughing much, and, of course, sharing and praying with Cindy. We are excited about what God has in store for Women of Glory in 2015! So really, although I went to Thailand to be an encouragement to all of them there, in the end, I left refreshed and encouraged as well. Truly, we are stronger together. ![]() As I reflect on these last weeks, there is much to be thankful for. Greater than any experiences along the journey, though, are the relationships formed and cultivated along the way, and during this season of Thanksgiving, know how much I cherish the connection that we have as well. Count your blessings, give thanks, celebrate family near and far, and know you are loved! I'll touch base again when I'm back in the States!
