Get Acquainted with the History and Founder of PRO-Vision
Sarah is the founder of PRO-Vision International. Sarah travels the world to come alongside others and support them in the vision God has entrusted them with, but she also encourages people, through the Word of God, to see themselves as God sees them and to be in favor of His vision for their lives. She emphasizes the love of God, being complete in Him, and living out of the overflow of a consecrated life.
Sarah loves the Lord and the nations of the world and is passionate about helping ministries and people of all ages to discover and walk-out their God-given purpose. She desires to see people bloom boldly into all God has for them, and ultimately that they, too, would "spread and make evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere" (2 Cor. 2:14). Each person has an ability and capacity to know and be used by God... wherever they are… all because of Jesus.
After twelve-years of struggling with depression, self-harm, suicide attempts and eating disorders, Sarah discovered the answer to her heart’s cry in Jesus Christ when she rededicated her life to Him. In 1999, she knew that her purpose was to serve Him with her life, wherever He chose to send her, and an incredible journey of faith has been unfolding ever since. The Lord first began stirring in her heart about PRO-Vision in 2001 while in the midst of a stewardship campaign at her church in Rockford, IL. What came up in her heart was that "Because the Lord is my provision, I can be PRO-Vision (in favor of the vision) for House of Refuge Church." Even then, however, Sarah recognized that stewardship had to do with far more than finances, but every area of our lives~ time, relationships, gifts and talents. Stewardship is partnership~ with God and with each other. We are co-laborers with Him.
Wherever she is and wherever she goes, Sarah encourages people to have a heart for the world, but also stirs people about God’s heart for them personally. Sarah has also had a long-standing passion for the Body of Christ as a whole, with a desire to see every person discover who they are in Christ and to fulfill the unique purpose and vision that God has for them. She is equally passionate about encouraging people to recognize and support the vision, purpose, gifts and callings in other ministries and members of the Body of Christ, including that of their local church.
Since 2005, God has opened doors of opportunity for Sarah to travel to twelve different nations of the world to be an administrative and practical support to existing works as well as to minister the Word and God's love through street evangelism, medical missions, ministry in local churches, balloon evangelism training, and teaching and exhorting in Bible School settings. She also oversees the Stateside office of a missionary couple serving in Asia, and shares from God’s Word and her experiences with individuals and groups when in the United States. Her heart is especially tender toward youth and young adults facing the same challenges of depression and self-destructive behaviors that she was able to overcome by the Word and Spirit of God. The same love that compelled her to come to Christ for salvation is the love that compels her to go out and share the same--wherever the Lord may lead her. In her own words, "I've got to tell it... I've got to share it... This extravagant Love... AGAPE... There's no greater way to live than to live loved, and it's in that that we make our mark on the world."
